Nyima Tashi was born in Kham Drakgo of Eastern Tibet. After graduating from Qinghai Normal University with English and Tibetan major, Nyima went to study Eco-tourism in the US through Columbia University. Since 2009 he has been working in a tourism company focusing mainly on guiding tourists across Tibetan plateau, especially in Kham areas. Years of tourism experiences taught him the need of social responsible tourism industries as to financially benefit local communities and to preserve their traditional culture values and unexploited natural environment. Nyima believes Plateau Homestays has high potential succeed as a social entrepreneurship while providing most authentic Tibetan tastes to global guests, therefore he is now taking the of field operator of Plateau Homestays.
